Application process for REF 2029 PCE pilot opens

Research England chief pledges that REF strand will be “co-created” with research sector

The head of Research England has urged universities and researchers to “join us on the people, culture and environment pilot journey” as she announced further details of proposed Research Excellence Framework reforms.

Writing for the Higher Education Policy Institute, Jessica Corner said the REF team is at “the beginning of an exciting phase in the development of REF 2029”, and promised that the format of the PCE element of the exercise will be “co-created” with the research sector.
