Steven Hill responds to criticism over deletion of scores given to outputs after assessment exercise

The chair of the Research Excellence Framework steering group has outlined ways in which data generated by the 2029 REF exercise could be made available for research, instead of being deleted.

Writing for Research Professional News, Steven Hill (pictured) said the funding bodies that carry out the REF could potentially make data more widely available for a limited time after the 2029 exercise, or available long-term in secure data environments.
