UK joins EU’s multibillion-euro chips research partnership

                      

Nation will contribute £35 million through to 2027 to boost “British leadership” in semiconductor R&D

Researchers in the UK have gained access to the EU’s multibillion-euro partnership for semiconductor research and innovation.

The UK government announced on 13 March that the country had joined the EU’s Chips Joint Undertaking, a public-private partnership that receives funding from the bloc’s R&I funding programme, Horizon Europe.
