Vaughan Gething, newly elected leader of Welsh Labour, has set out plans for innovation

Welsh Labour party members chose their new leader this weekend, electing economy minister Vaughan Gething rather than education minister Jeremy Miles. The election followed Mark Drakeford’s resignation in December.

Gething’s manifesto includes pledges on education, skills, the green economy, devolution and improved governance, with mentions of universities and innovation.
