Science department starts looking for Indro Mukerjee’s successor

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has launched the search for the next head of Innovate UK.

Indro Mukerjee announced in January that he would be stepping down as chief executive of Innovate UK in September. On 28 March, the government started looking for a replacement to continue Mukerjee’s “exceptional” work at the country’s innovation agency, which sits under the wider national funder UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
