Several university mission groups have welcomed an initiative to help universities expand abroad that was announced in the chancellor’s autumn statement on 29 November.
The initiative, HE Global, is for an online portal providing information and advice to universities on overseas expansion. It will also develop a vehicle to “bring together government, the HE sector and industry expertise to package and sell education offers overseas”.
