Union challenges Queen Mary medicine cuts

The University and College Union has questioned the logic behind Queen Mary, University of London’s decision to cut jobs at its school of medicine and dentistry when demand for its courses appears to be on the rise.

According to the union, the university is to cut nearly 140 jobs—43 permanent staff and potentially 96 research teaching and support staff.
