The new university group Million+ has criticised the Office For Fair Access’ approval of university access agreements, saying it will lead to “far higher fees” than originally predicted.
Les Ebdon, chairman of the group, said the average fee of £8,161, including waivers, is still “far higher than the £7,500 predicted by ministers and reflects the impact of the coalition government’s policy of cutting public investment in university teaching by 80 per cent”.
