Student tide still coming in—and going out

While the number of overseas students attending UK universities continues to rise, so does the number of UK students going abroad, figures from the Higher Education Statistics Agency show.

According to data published on 12 January, the number of students coming to the UK from outside the EU rose 6 per cent between 2010-11 and 2009-10 and the number of EU students increased 4 per cent. The number of home students, however, decreased by one per cent.
