Higher Education Wales, the Welsh vice-chancellors’ umbrella group, has said it will work with the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales to “help ensure a seamless transition” to new arrangements for student-number controls.
“It is important to note that under the new model, it is anticipated that in 2013/14 every university in Wales will receive more funding than in the current structure,” said John Hughes, chairman of Higher Education Wales, in a statement.
