Central Lancs university ‘sleep-walking’ to privatisation, says UCU

The University of Central Lancashire is likely to regret its decision to become a company limited by guarantee, according to the University and College Union.

The UCU said on 22 November that it feared the university’s decision would “erode democratic checks and balances on management” and “allow private equity funds a route into UK higher education”.
