Indonesia and UK to collaborate on PhD training

A joint framework on education provision with Indonesia, which will create a new scholarship programme for 150 PhD students to come to the UK each year, was signed by universities and science minister David Willetts on 1 November.

The agreement, co-signed by Indonesia’s minister for education, Mohammad Nuh, aims to promote student mobility and transfers between the countries, and involves eight university partnerships.
