The number of academics at UK universities in the fields of engineering, technology and agriculture have been declining in the past decade, despite an overall increase in academic staff during the same period.
The trend was confirmed in a report, ‘Patterns and Trends in UK Higher Education’, published by vice-chancellors’ group Universities UK on 14 December.
