The number of acceptances to universities by students domiciled in the UK and EU has dropped 12 per cent compared to 2011, before the increase in tuition fees, according to a UCAS report.
The report looks at acceptances to universities by the intended year of entry—rather than by the year they entered the UCAS admissions cycle—which UCAS says should give a better guide to how many will start higher education in the academic year starting 2012.
