Birmingham University staff balloted over ‘forced redundancies’

Staff at the University of Birmingham are being balloted by the University and College Union to strike next month over what the union claims is a “campaign of forced redundancies and aggressive management tactics”.

The UCU’s 1,000 members at the university are being urged to strike from 28 February, for half a day a week for three weeks and then two full days in the fourth week.
