Engineering apprenticeships increase 85 per cent in two years

The number of people beginning engineering and advanced manufacturing apprenticeships has increased by more than 85 per cent in the past two years, according to figures released on 29 January.

However, the University and College Union has said that more employers need to take apprenticeships seriously: only one in five engineering and advanced manufacturing employers offer apprenticeships.
