University mission groups want a voice in A-level reform

Education minister Michael Gove and the Department for Education are facing calls from higher education mission groups to involve more people in developing A-level reform.

In a letter to exams regulator Ofqual on 23 January, Gove announced the government’s plans to reform the system. He also said that the Russell Group of research-intensive universities will form an academic board to advise Ofqual on the content of A-levels.
