Manchester wins grant to develop graphene membranes

Researchers at the University of Manchester have won £3.5 million from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to continue work on membranes made from graphene.

Possible uses for the membranes include helping to stop power stations releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere or to detect the chemical signals emitted by agricultural pests.
