Northern Ireland college shakes up governing body

Northern Ireland’s Stranmillis University College, part of Queen’s University Belfast, has appointed three new members to its governing body.

Shirley Madden is a commercial solicitor and former in-house lawyer for the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute. Kenneth Nelson is the chief executive of the Larne Enterprise Development Company, a local enterprise agency, and board member of Invest Northern Ireland, a business development agency that is part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment. And Robert Thompson is a former student of Stranmillis and former primary school principal.

Their terms began on 29 March and last for four years.
