The University of Nottingham has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute to collaborate on carbon capture research.
Colin Snape, director of the university’s Energy Technologies Research Institute, will lead the work. He is currently working at SARI as a distinguished visiting professor.
The memorandum is a formal bond between two institutions which have been working on projects together for more than five years. They have been focusing on CO2 capture from power plants, which is also the general theme for future work.
