Members of the University and College Union are to suspend their boycott of exam marking until after a meeting between the union and Universities UK next year.
The UCU issued a joint statement with UUK, the vice-chancellors’ organisation, on 20 November to say that its boycott would cease until after a meeting of the joint negotiating committee in January 2015.
UCU members have been boycotting exam marking since 6 November because of a dispute over the Universities Superannuation Scheme for pensions. Negotiations between the UCU and UUK have been planned ahead of the January meeting.
