Dundee faces strikes over redundancy plan

The University and College Union has said that its members at the University of Dundee have voted to take strike action over the university’s plan to cut a further 65 jobs.

The UCU says strikes will take place at the university on 28 April and 5 May.

UCU members at the University of Dundee will also refuse to take part in the university’s redundancy plan, which they say is “flawed”, and they will not participate in the university’s excellence review to determine who will stay on, the union said in a press release on 21 April.
