The University of Cambridge has appointed Andy Neely as the next head of the university’s Institute for Manufacturing.
Neely, the Royal Academy of Engineering professor of complex services, will replace Mike Gregory, who is retiring at the end of September.
From 2003 until 2012 Neely was deputy director of the Advanced Institute of Management Research, which is an Economic and Social Research Council funded research centre. He is the founding director of the Cambridge Service Alliance, where industry researchers collaborate with academics to find novel ways to implement complex service systems.
