Oxford research director wins ARMA award

Glenn Swafford has been recognised for his contribution to research management by the Association of Research Managers and Administrators.

Swafford, who is director of research services at the University of Oxford, received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Research Management and Administration at the inaugural ARMA Awards ceremony on 2 June, during the association’s annual conference. 

Six other awards were also made, including: Research Management Team of the Year, which went to the University of Bristol; the Carter Award for Outstanding Contribution to ARMA, which went to former ARMA director Pauline Muya—now head of research and consultancy services at University College London; and the Impact award, which went to Julie Bayley, a senior researcher at Coventry University.
