The Institute of Education at University College London has set up a centre to look at the challenges facing refugees in Lebanon and provide them with better educational opportunities.
The five-year initiative, known as the RELIEF Centre, will be led by the university’s Institute for Global Prosperity, according to a UCL statement issued on 2 October.
The project, which is funded through the Economic and Social Research Council’s Global Challenge programme, will also involve collaborations with the London-based Centre for Lebanese Studies and the American University of Beirut.
