HEFCE seeks proposals to tackle hate crime on campus

The Higher Education Funding Council for England has launched a call for project proposals on student safeguarding, with funding of up to £50,000.

The 2017 Catalyst Fund call, which was opened on 21 June, focuses on tackling hate crime and online harassment against students because of their race, religious beliefs, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.

HEFCE said that it had received many proposals addressing sexual harassment and violence on campus in its 2016 call, but few addressing hate crime specifically.
