Researchers from the University of Sheffield are urging scientists to continue collaborating with their American counterparts following the Unites States' departure from the Paris agreement on climate change.
President Donald Trump pulled out of the agreement and the United Nation’s Green Climate Fund on 1 June, just a year and a half after the deal was signed in December 2015. He claims the agreement is “unfair“ to the US.
Tony Ryan, director of the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures at the University of Sheffield, said on 6 June that scientists must continue to build an evidence base for climate change and sustainable technologies.
