A Norway-style arrangement for post-Brexit UK-EU relations is emerging as a popular option, according to a poll conducted by an academic consortium.
Researchers from the Policy Institute at King’s College London, the think tank Rand Europe and the University of Cambridge interviewed 917 participants for a study exploring public attitudes to various Brexit scenarios.
The majority of those surveyed favoured a close relationship with the EU rather than no deal at all. In particular, respondents preferred a final deal close to the Norway model.
