Peers seek students’ views on university funding

A House of Lords committee is calling for students to provide evidence for an inquiry into the economics of higher education, further education and vocational training.

The Lords Economic Affairs Committee is investigating the structure of post-school education and training and the way it’s financed, it announced on 25 July. The inquiry will also explore the contribution of higher education to the UK economy.

The committee is urging students, recent graduates and apprentices to submit views. In addition peers want to hear the views of businesses and enterprises on whether education equips workers with the skills demanded by the modern economy.
