Sheffield delegation visits China to deepen research ties

Keith Burnett, vice-chancellor of the University of Sheffield, has concluded a visit to China aimed at deepening existing research partnerships and opening up further collaboration.

During the first week of August, Burnett met representatives from China’s universities and ministry of industry, which is responsible for research and industrial collaboration.

He said in a statement on 4 August that there was scope to expand Sheffield’s existing links with China, particularly in areas such as next-generation vehicles.
