Universities show increased focus on knowledge exchange

More English universities are embedding knowledge exchange into their corporate strategies, according to a report published by the Higher Education Funding Council for England.

The report, published on 8 August, says that an increased number of higher education institutions that receive money from the Higher Education Innovation Fund are bringing their teaching, research and knowledge exchange closer together. These universities are also planning to diversify and increase their knowledge exchange partnerships over the next five years.

More than three quarters of the 97 institutions that received HEIF funding in 2016-17, surveyed by the business management consultancy PACEC, said external partnerships were a priority in their five-year knowledge exchange strategy.
