Advanced bioengineering lab opens in Belfast

Ulster University has opened a £7.3-million laboratory that will offer partner companies facilities for developing prototype biomedical devices.

The Advanced Biomedical Engineering Laboratory, which opened on 4 September, will save time and money bringing novel medical technologies to the market, the university said in a statement.

The type of technologies involved include those used in the healthcare system and for monitoring vital functions of workers in high-risk industries such as aerospace.
