Research England is welcoming applications for a £4-million fund to help English universities set up research collaborations with institutions overseas.
On 15 November, the agency invited universities to bid for a share of the funds for the International Investment Initiative (I3), the first details of which were announced in October. The scheme will operate through a single-stage application process, and each English institution will be able to lead one joint proposal with a minimum of one non-UK university or research organisation as a partner.
A maximum of £500,000 is available per application over a five-year period. The I3 funding must be matched by bidders through cash or in-kind contributions, Research England said.
