Swansea vice-chancellor suspended

The vice-chancellor of Swansea University, Richard Davies, has been suspended along with three other members of staff.

A spokeswoman for Swansea University told HE that Davies has been suspended while an internal investigation is carried out at the university. The dean of the university’s school of management, Marc Clement, and two other unidentified staff members at the school have also been suspended.

Although the spokeswoman did not explain the nature of the investigation, she confirmed that it does not concern the financial viability of the university or its academic performance.
