A senior academic has quit his post at Robert Gordon University, just months after its principal resigned in a conflict-of-interest row.
Vice-principal for advancement Mark Sollis left his post last week after less than two years in the job. A university spokeswoman confirmed that Sollis would return to Canada, where he worked for almost five years as associate vice-president for alumni at the University of Calgary. She added that the university would not comment further on Sollis’s departure as it is an internal matter.
Sollis is the second senior figure to leave the Aberdeen-based university this year.
