Cranfield to lead creation of Milton Keynes university

Cranfield University has been chosen as the lead higher-education provider for MK:U, a new university in Milton Keynes.

MK:U, which is being developed in partnership with business, is expected to welcome its first cohort of students in 2023, Cranfield University announced on 21 March.

Accountancy firm Grant Thornton, technology companies Microsoft and Tech Mahindra, as well as Milton Keynes College are involved in MK:U’s set up. It is expected to eventually host around 5,000 students and its purpose will be to prepare them for work, according to a press release.
