Open-science initiatives merge

Casrai, the Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information, is to become part of Duraspace, which builds open-source repository software.

The merger, announced by Duraspace on 3 April, will seek to expand Casrai’s membership and continue its development of community-based standards for research administration.

Casrai, which involves around 50 organisations, is a not-for-profit membership body that started in Canada and aims to standardise the sharing of research information globally.
