UK-based academics awarded millions of pounds in the latest round of European Research Council funding have said that many grantees could leave the UK to retain access to the agency.
According to what appears to be a draft European Commission document on the design of the European Union’s next R&D Framework programme, the UK could be banned from participating in ERC grant schemes after Brexit.
