Russell Group says research and international collaboration comes with ‘inevitable’ climate impact
The Russell Group of 24 research-intensive universities has admitted its research carries an “inevitable carbon cost” and warned that “difficult decisions” are on the horizon.
In a joint statement from the 24 member universities, the group said that its research and international collaborations “incur an inevitable carbon cost”. However, their work “could be transformative” when it comes to tackling climate change.
