Unofficial advisory group’s plan to avoid another national lockdown also includes ‘rebuilding the testing system’
The group of high-profile scientists at the self-appointed Independent Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies has proposed a ban on face-to-face teaching in universities to stop the spread of Covid-19.
The proposal forms part of a 10-point plan to avoid another national lockdown. Other measures include funding schools to set up smaller classes and “rebuilding” the nation’s coronavirus testing system.
