John Blake named director for fair access at the Office for Students

Former Policy Exchange head of education to replace Chris Millward

The Department for Education has announced that John Blake, a former teacher and ex-head of education at the right-leaning Policy Exchange think tank, is to be the next director for fair access and participation at the Office for Students.

Blake will leave his current role as head of public affairs and engagement at the Ark chain of academy schools to take over from Chris Millward, whose four-year term concludes next month.
