Surge in number of universities adopting antisemitism definition

Number signing up to IHRA wording more than triples since September last year

Almost 100 universities in England have now adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of antisemitism, according to figures published by the Office for Students.

The OfS data show that 95 universities have now signed up to the IHRA’s definition—a significant increase on September 2020, when research from the Union of Jewish Students found that just 28 had done so.
