UUK calls for visa reform to attract exchange students

Incoming exchange students should be allowed to stay for a year, Universities UK says

Universities UK is calling on the government to double the period within which exchange students on visitor visas can remain in the UK.

Visitor visas currently permit short-term exchange students to stay in the UK for up to six months, but UUK believes this should be extended to a year to encourage young people from overseas to spend time at UK universities.
