UK government urged to list banned Chinese R&D funders

Think tank report highlights concerns over UK university research links to Chinese military

The UK government should publish a list of all the Chinese military-linked companies and institutions that it wants to ban from sponsoring research in UK universities, a think tank has said. 

The warning comes after a report by the right-of-centre Civitas found that 15 of the 24 Russell Group universities “have productive research relationships with Chinese military-linked manufacturers and universities”.
