Due diligence may be ‘costing universities over £3m a year’

         

Arma report finds “considerable scope” to reduce these costs through clearing house and national service

Due diligence checks by UK research offices could be costing the sector more than £3 million per year, a new report from the Association of Research Managers and Administrators has suggested.

According to the report, institutions undertake between 4,500 and 6,000 due diligence checks every year, costing the higher education sector over £1m and potentially as much as £3.4m.
