Michelle Donelan’s claim that Holocaust deniers could get free speech protection denounced as “horrifying”

UK universities minister Michelle Donelan has triggered outrage by suggesting that under the terms of planned free speech legislation, people who deny the Holocaust could seek compensation if they are blocked from university campuses.

On 12 May BBC journalist Evan Davis asked Donelan whether a Holocaust denier invited to speak on campus would “merit the defence of your bill” if they were protested against or attempts were made to block their appearance.
