Universities ‘crucial’ to economic recovery, says science minister

Amanda Solloway says higher education makes ‘immense’ economic contribution to the UK

Building partnerships between UK universities and business will be “crucial” to the country’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, the science minister has said.

Marking the launch of a Universities UK campaign to highlight universities’ role in rebuilding the economy, Amanda Solloway said the “immense contribution” of higher education institutions “cannot be underestimated”.
