Institutions step in with short-term support for flagship multimillion-pound research hubs affected by ODA cuts

Universities have stepped in to temporarily plug some of the gap in finances for multi-million pound research projects left by cuts to the UK’s aid budget.

But project leaders warn the situation is not sustainable unless government funding soon returns to previous levels.
