Think tank report calls on government to investigate universities with Institutes

Confucius Institutes in UK universities threaten Britain’s capacity to understand China, a think tank has warned.

In a report published on 12 October, the right-leaning Henry Jackson Society says the institutes—which are centres for the study of China and Chinese language based at academic institutions—are “not mere tools of soft power”.
