Agreement means a new designated data body for England

Jisc and the Higher Education Statistics Agency have completed a merger—creating a new designated data body for England in the process.

The merger, which took effect from the beginning of October, sees all 171 Hesa staff—including chief executive Rob Phillpotts—move to Jisc, the UK’s higher education digital body. A new data collection and statistics directorate has been created within Jisc, to be headed up by Phillpotts.
